Session guide
How to show up ready.
A little preparation goes a long way. Here is what to know about wardrobe, timing, light, kids, pets, and delivery before we meet.

Wardrobe
Wear what feels like you. The outfit you already love usually photographs better than the one bought only for the occasion.
- Lean into soft, solid colors and natural fabrics. Loud logos and busy patterns can pull attention away from expression.
- Coordinate, do not match. A shared color palette looks intentional without feeling uniform.
- Toss in one extra layer or accessory for a quick second look.
- Steam or iron the night before so the final images feel clean and finished.
Location & light
The best backdrop is one that means something to you. Familiar places help everyone relax.
- Home, a favorite park, or a well-worn street all work beautifully.
- Open shade and cloudy skies are flattering; harsh midday sun is harder to work with.
- If a spot needs a permit or reservation, tell us early so we can plan around it.
Timing
Good light and good moods both run on a schedule. A little planning protects both.
- The hour after sunrise and the hour before sunset are pure gold. We'll suggest a window.
- Show up a few minutes early to settle in before we start.
- Build in buffer time for parking, outfit changes, and snacks.
Kids & pets
The secret with little ones and pets is to stop performing for the camera and start playing.
- Feed and rest everyone first whenever possible.
- Pack a favorite toy, snack, or treat to reset the mood when it goes sideways.
- Let them be themselves. We photograph the movement instead of fighting it.
What to bring
A small kit keeps things moving and gives us options.
- Meaningful props, heirlooms, or a second outfit.
- Water and snacks, especially for the longer sessions.
- Leashes, treats, and an extra set of hands if pets are coming.
- Anything that says who you are right now.
Delivery expectations
Here is what happens after the shutter stops, so expectations stay clear.
- A private online gallery arrives on the timeline set in your booking summary.
- You pick your favorites for editing, prints, and album pages.
- High-resolution downloads are released according to the written booking and invoice terms.
- Prints and albums ship on the production timeline for your order.
